Pair Of Beautifully Painted Old Paris Porcelain Vases, Circa 1820

A very fine pair of Old Paris vases with 'first quality' painted scenes on Prussian blue grounds, of two major gates (Portes) in Paris, one inscribed 'en grisaille' La Porte st. Denis a Paris, the other La Porte St. Martin a Paris, the decorative handles in the form of winged angels, the reverse with a round medallion painted en grisaille; the vases mounted on rectangular black basalt marble bases.
